The Latin American Community Center with the support of the Governor’s Advisory Council on Hispanic Affairs presents the Outstanding Hispanic Student Recognition Program. Every year outstanding Hispanic high school students in Delaware are recognized in the following categories:

Academics
Arts
Athletics
Community Service
Science and Technology
Outstanding Male and Female Students of the Year

In addition, Outstanding Male and Female students of the Year are selected among the state’s Middle School students.

Hispanic Heritage Month Open House

The Latin American Community Center Open House occurs on the first Friday of every September and kicks off Hispanic Heritage month in our community. It is an opportunity for sponsors, funders and colleagues to visit the El Centro Latino and celebrate Hispanic culture and food.

Annual Grand Ball

The LACC has been holding its Annual Baile de Gala since 1969. The event is part of Delaware's annual Hispanic Heritage Month celebration. It is a gala fund raising event where the Agency celebrates its accomplishments and recognizes community leaders and companies that have made significant contributions to the LACC and the Latino community in Delaware.
