| Family
Services Case Manager - Full Time |
The incumbent provides case management and supportive services to low-income individuals and
families; assist with problem solving and achievement of self-sufficiency
and family stability.
Minimum Qualifications include
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Human Services, and a minimum
of two years experience in case management and/or standards for in-home
services for children and their families, or Associates Degree
in Human Services, and three years case management. Speak read and right in both English
and Spanish. Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability
to handle sensitive and/or emergency situations. Sensitivity to diverse
cultures & socio-economic status. Candidate needs to possess own
transportation, proof of driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
The Ideal Candidate has a Bachelor’s
Degree in Social Work or Human Services, and a minimum of three years
experience in case management and/or standards for in-home services
for children and their families, is perfectly bilingual (English - Spanish)
and has strong analytical skills.

| HIV/AIDS
Outreach Specialist – Part Time |
To educate
the Latino Community on the dangers and prevention methods of sexually
transmitted diseases through street outreach with the objective of recruiting
individuals for HIV Counseling and Testing. To provide
HIV/AIDS intervention and prevention activities for Latino Adults at
least 16 years of age whose primary cultural affiliation is Hispanic
or persons who identify themselves as a Hispanic.
Minimum Qualifications
include High School degree and two years of experience in human services
or related field, Bilingual/Bicultural (Spanish/English), excellent
oral and communication skills, willingness to work flexible hours when
necessary, Driver’s License and own Transportation.
The ideal candidate
has an Associates Degree in Human Services, knowledge of HIV/AIDS Issues,
knowledge of state and community resources, an outgoing and proactive
personality.

| DeLead
Family Services Site Coordinator – Full Time |
The Family
Services Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating specific property
interventions from application through clearance examination. This position
will coordinate initial site risk assessments to determine if an applicant’s
property is eligible for the program. In summary, the incumbent will
coordinate the operation, compliance and personnel supervision of the
DeLead Program.
Minimum Qualifications
include 1) Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services or related field 2)
Lead Supervisor certification 3) Lead Inspector certification 4) Project
Design certification 5) Risk Assessor certification 6) 2 years of supervisory
experience
The ideal candidate
meets all minimum qualifications plus 1) assumes responsibility without direct supervision,
2) thinks
logistically with excellent attention to detail, 3) Works effectively
with employees, peers, supervision and volunteers and 4) creates and
maintains good/cordial relationships with program participants, peers,
subordinates and superiors 5) Bilingual (English-Spanish) a plus.

| DeLead
Intake Assistant – Full Time |
This position
reports to the De-lead Delaware Site Manager and is responsible for
providing administrative services to the program team. This position
is also responsible for direct customer service to the clients and to
the program partners. In addition to the standard secretarial
duties, incumbents relieve manager of routine administrative and business
details by performing a variety of duties including but not limited
to: coordinating details for conferences, meetings, travel and similar
activities; composing correspondence; maintaining schedule of appointments,
screening visitors and telephone calls; establishing and maintaining
various filing and record-keeping systems for the department including
follow-up files; researching information for manager to respond to complaints,
compile reports or complete documents; ordering and maintaining office
supplies, equipment and inventory. Additionally, the Intake Assistant
will process applications, assist with program reporting, and assist
in arranging temporary relocation of occupants of properties accepted
into the program.
Minimum Qualifications
include 1) Associates degree in secretarial science or related field
2) 2-3 years practical experience 4) Strong computer skills with Microsoft
Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint) and MS Internet
Explorer 3) Fluency in English and Spanish (reading, writing & speaking)
4) Excellent customer services skills in English and Spanish

| Lead
Abatement Worker (Level I) – Full Time
|
The Lead
Abatement Worker Level 1 (LAW 1) is responsible for the reduction of
lead-based paint hazards in assigned units. The work entails scrapping
lead-based paint from windows, doors and baseboards and repainting those
same items while following all federal, state and city laws regulating
the work of lead-based paint interventions.
Minimum qualifications
include possessing (1) a high school degree or equivalent, 2) a valid
driver’s license and an acceptable driving record, (3) be able to
pass a drug screening test, (4) able to take and pass all lead certification
tests given only in English (paid for by the agency).

| Lead
Abatement Worker (Level II) – Full Time
|
The Delead
Delaware Lead Abatement Work Level II (LAW II) crew member is responsible
for the reduction of lead-based paint risk in units within the community
by performing low-level intervention including window replacement, paint
stabilization, and lead specific cleaning. The Lead Hazard Reduction
Worker Level II will possess carpentry skills and experience in window
replacement.
Minimum qualifications
include possessing (1) a high school degree or equivalent, 2) a valid
driver’s license and an acceptable driving record, (3) be able to
pass a drug screening test, (4) able to take and pass all lead certification
tests given only in English (paid for by the agency). (5) Carpentry
experience including framing, window replacement and repair as well
as dry-wall and painting.

| ESL/EL
Civics Teacher – Part Time |
The
primary responsibilities of the part time English as a Second Language
(ESL) /English Language (EL) Civics Instructor are to instruct ESL/EL
students five evenings a week. The incumbent is also responsible to
assist in recruitment and retention of ESL/EL students and to be involved
in the on-going development and evaluation of the ESL/EL curriculum.
Minimum Qualifications
include Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year experience teaching ESL to an
adult population, computer literate and ability to generate detailed
reports, ability
to work on a team, have a "whatever-it-takes" work ethic,
and have an excellent customer service attitude.
The ideal candidate has (1) Bachelor's
degree in education or related field, TESOL certification plus 1 - 2
years experience teaching ESL to an adult population, (2) computer literate
with experience in MS Word, Excel, Access and the Internet, (3) Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

Development Teacher Assistant – Full Time (2 Positions Available) |
The incumbent
is responsible for providing a safe, warm, and nurturing environment
in which children can develop physically, emotionally, socially and
intellectually.
Minimum Qualifications
include High School Diploma or its equivalent, Training for Early Care
and Education (TECE) 1 and one year experience working with children
in a group setting. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in
writing with children and parents. Ability to relate to children in
a positive, caring manner.
The ideal candidate
has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related
field, is bilingual (English-Spanish), and has at least one year of
experience working with children in a group setting.

School Satellite Teachers – Part-time (Various Positions Available) |
The incumbent
is responsible for providing after school tutoring, homework help and
enrichment activities to students registered at the LACC 21st CCLC sites
in correlation with school district curricula and DSTP standards for
Delaware. Also may provide support in academic enrichment activities
in reading, writing and mathematics and other areas.
The ideal candidate has (1) a
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or registered at a college or University
in the Education field at the junior or senior level. (2) at least
one year of experience working with children in a group setting (3)
is perfectly bilingual, (4) has strong interpersonal, planning and communication
skills. (5) Willingness to work flexible hours.
Minimum Qualifications
include Associates Degree in Elementary Education or High School Diploma
with 60 Clock Hours of training in child development or early childhood
education with 1 yr. experience working with children in a group setting.
Experience in youth work/youth programs. Spanish /English fluency preferred.
Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal,
planning and communication skills. Successful criminal background checks
as required by Delaware law.
