Workforce Development

The mission of the Workforce Development Program is to assist clients in obtaining employment, finding better employment options, and strengthening employability.

Our objectives are to empower job seekers with tools and resources that can be used on a daily basis, as well as to assist employers in meeting their present and future workforce needs. In the process of meeting these objectives, we strive to deliver these services in the most efficient manner possible.

Looking for a job?

We will assist you with:

• Job Placement Leads: We will inform you of employment opportunities based on your education and work experience.
• Computer Literacy Classes: Learn basic computer skills for on-line job searches.
• Resume Writing: Learn how to create a quality resume.
• On-Line Application Assistance: We will assist you in the completion of an on-line application for employment.
• Interviewing Skills: Learn common interview questions and ways to answer them.
• Dressing for Success: Making a good, first impression is key in the employment process, so learn how to dress the part.
  
  

Employers looking for bilingual candidates?

The Workforce Development Program seeks to create a bridge between employees and employers. Through our services employers can:

• Post open positions: We will identify qualified candidates and refer them to your company.
• Participate in our Job Fairs: Market your company and your employment opportunities.
• On-Site recruiting: Our site can be used for recruiting sessions. LACC staff will interpret and translate for you when language is a barrier.
• Develop special projects: Our team is available to develop medium to long term hiring processes to support your company needs.
