PREVENTION, A WAY OF LIFE!

All Stars Drug and Violence Prevention (Ages 11-14)

All Stars targets students ages 11-14 who have not yet had an experience with alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

The ultimate goal of the program is to delay the onset of a first time experience with alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, sexual activity and fighting by promoting idealism, normative beliefs, bonding, personal commitment and parental attentiveness.

The program empowers the youth to lead good, healthy and full lives through interactive activities like group discussions, games, art projects and one-on-one discussions with each student.

Lead-based Paint Poisoning Prevention

Are you at risk of lead-based paint poisoning?

  • Do you live in the city of Wilmington?
  • Do you live in a home built before 1978?
  • Do you have small children living or visiting your home often?
  • Is there a pregnant woman in your household?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you may be at risk. Lead-based paint is a serious health hazard that can permanently harm children six years of age and younger, or the baby in a mother’s womb.
