Art Submission
Guidelines
Theme:
The exhibition theme is drug addiction and recovery. Jurors will be
particularly interested in seeing the person behind addiction and recovery.
Artworks will be judged based upon how effectively, clearly and expressive
this theme is explored in both content and visual impact.
Eligibility:
Drawings, paintings, photographs, collages and graphic design will be
accepted. Participants should be 18 years of age or older. The size of the art piece may
not exceed 30 X 30 Inches in any direction.
Deadline for Receipt of Art:
June 16, 2011 by 4:00 pm
Entry Requirements:
Participants may submit up to three artworks for consideration. The
art pieces(s) should be submitted with:

- Artist statement:
Participants should provide a brief statement (100 – 200 words) explaining
the meaning of their artwork
Exclusions:
The exhibition organizers reserve the right to exclude art that does
not address the exhibition’s theme of addiction and recovery, and/or
is in any way offensive.
Honorarium: The top three finalists,
that best exemplify the theme of addiction and recovery, will be awarded
$300, $200, $100.
Submission information:
Please submit your artwork to Ana C. Velasquez at the Latin American
Community Center – 403 N. Van Buren St. Wilmington DE 19805 no later
than 4:00pm on Thursday, June 16. Artwork without an Entry Submission
Form and Artist statement will not be accepted.
Art Return Information:
Artwork selected for the exhibition will
be on display at the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts until July 1.
