| YOUTH
SERVICES PROGRAMS |
The Youth
Development Center seeks to offer a safe environment where children
can learn and grow while having fun. Our services focus on complementing
a child’s educational experience at school. We provide tutoring and
homework help and a variety of enrichment activities like computers,
music, arts and crafts and gym.
As youth participate in our programs they will find a place to make
lasting friendships, to relate to, and trust adults that will show them
respect, guide them in making positive choices and develop into responsible
adults. |

High School Credit
Recovery Program |
| The LACC
Credit Recovery program serves high school students in the Red Clay
Consolidated School District, grades 9 thru 12 from low-and moderate-income
families living in the City of Wilmington and outlying towns and suburbs.
The program was designed to increase high school graduation rates by
providing a community-based educational setting where at-risk students
can earn academic credits toward graduation in an environment that is
sensitive to their academic and life circumstances. Counselors
identify students in grades 9 through 12 who are at risk of not completing
the school year.
The program operates on a flexible schedule
between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday from September
to June.
