Since the beginning of time, humans have sought solace in art as a means of expressing their emotions. Initially, primitive art was found in caves and murals, and later with the awareness of other techniques, various artists have illuminated the world with creations that resonate with the human spirit.

There are many that argue that art is reserved for those that have the talent, but reality tells us that art can be practiced by any person. All you need is imagination and the desire to share what you feel inside.

The Prevention Promoters Program of the Latin American Community Center presents ARTADDICTION, a unique art contest and invites participants to explore addiction through artistic expression. Prevention Promoters developed the addiction art project because of its pivotal role in the education and prevention of substance abuse.

ARTADDICTION welcomes everyone, 18 years old and above, to present art work in painting (all techniques), drawing, photography, graphic design and collage that explores the theme of addiction and recovery.
